RoHS

The European Directive 2011/65/EU as amended by the 2015/863/EU Delegated Directive, commonly known as RoHS3 (Restriction oHazardous Substances), imposes restrictions on the construction of electrical and electronic equipment with respect to the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, flame retardants PBB, PBDE and Deca-BDE and phthalates DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP.
The RoHS Directive was adopted by the Community in February 2003 and became fully effective from 1 July 2006.
Since its foundation in 1984, SAURO has never used substances that were declared or suspected to be carcinogenic, toxic or dangerous for human health and / or the environment in surface treatments and insulating materials, while the minimal presence of lead in copper alloys used in the terminals is tolerated by exemption 6c of Annex III, therefore SAURO terminal blocks and connectors were found to comply with the RoHS requirements from the first day of coming into effect of the European Directive without the need to intervene in the substances contained in the product.
Furthermore SAURO performs XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) specific spectrophotometric analysis to verify the absence of the aforementioned substances in the raw materials used in its products.
Compliance with this directive is featured on the minimal wrapping and packaging using the following symbols:
